Serene: “In trying in every fashion to emulate Motown, I noted that the maverick Detroit label used to take vocal releases that the label failed to get a hit on then issue instrumental versions under names like The San Remo Golden Strings. So I decided to do that with The Sunnyslope Strings. But first I had to release a flop vocal version of this song, which is what it originally came out as. I learned how satisfying it was to do instrumental versions and that’s why I kept doing Sunnyslope Strings songs with no vocal counterpart after that. You can find the vocal version on “Box City Vol 4: Rehearse, Record and Retire (2009 to 20018)” and the instrumental version first showed up as the closing track on our first Onus compilation, “Sound Explosion” in 2015. The version here is remixed and remastered for your protection.”

Producer Don Glasser stretches credibility to the snapping point when he insists, "We crammed 52 musicians in the Shark Cage the night we cut 'General Time Horizon." The trombonist was excused because he kept hitting everyone in the back of the head. I had to have two marimba players at least and of course all of the Sunnyslope Strings so it was a little cramped in there." Serene Dominic was asked if it was a dream come true to play with a large string section for the first time. His response was a quick "No." And then he thought about the question a bit more thoughtfully and said, "The Sunnyslope Strings are available for weddings and corporate functions"
