We are pleased to officially announce that Onus Records now officially has an offshoot alt-country label called Ca-Ho-Nus Records and our flagship artist is the very bubbly and very popular Carol Pacey and the Honey Shakers. This track hails from the band's debut CD "Yeah Yeah Yeah" which has seen airplay on dozen of alt-country stations nationwide. We're excited to be able to do future recording with Carol and the Honey Shakers under the Ca-Ho-Nus brand.

While alt-country may seem stylistically as far from Sunnyslope soul as black death metal, we already know that Onus CEO and President Tommy Globbit has a rich abiding love for Bakersfield country and this is another part of his grandfather's dream being realized.

"Not many people know this, but Motown Records had a country subsidiary called Melodyland," says Tommy. "They signed T.G. Sheppard, Ronnie Dove, Terry Stafford, Dorsey Burnette.. and Pat Boone. Of course they had absolutely no hits but it's the principal! of the thing!"
